My darling friend got gulf war syndrome..moving on cos your life hurts so bad , doesnt mean you have to surrender yourself to the Theatre of war… but I know life can be really bad at home that war seems like the safer option! Think twice before you pat the solider or sailor on the back leaving to fight . My uncles took bullets,, survived. One uncle decided to go to jail instead of going to war &. He eventually got a Medal from the King for being the first man to make artificial limbs

thank you Pearl Jam & Eddie for featuring this video on your PJ channel.. people have to watch this as this message tells us that this may not happen to anyone else!! for the US voters, pls next time think twice when you’re electing the world leader.. Pearl Jam tried with their Vote for Change campaign, film & video.. yet the 2nd Bush term was allowed by the voters, means by you if you voted for Bush.. :(

united state is a fake nation , i sorry for her citizens that think they have the most free and democrat country, soon it will go away with those evil dictators you have there if what they design for your future there.

  6. lafilmonline says:

That’s pretty funny coming from an authoritarian who can do nothing but play follow the leader. You don’t have a brain. Do try to use it. Just be a good little soldier. Be sure to invest in Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics for your cut of the blood money. That is what we are fighting for.

  7. sevenheadeddragon says:

you aamericans are like puppets, you’ll go wherever the chairman says you to go. You prefer to think of yourselfs as a totally free nation, but indeed you are slaves, because you don’t even try to resist

  8. keosdenya says:

monkey has to prove he’s part of all monkeys. he gets unwell, he says he’s a victim of all the monkeys, he’s suddenly human.

    great american story.

  9. OrbitalDiamonds says:

This, though shroom’s right about the war not ending any time soon.

Ted Nugent says he shit his pants to dodge the draft: Detroit Free Press, story ID: 9001270513, 7-18-1990: Nugent wanted no part of Vietnam. 30 days before his draft physical, he stopped all forms of hygiene. For the last week, he stopped using bathrooms, living inside pants caked with his own excrement, stained with urine. FOIA request: 2 student deferments while doing over 300 shows/year w/Amboy dukes; flunked his draft physical 8-23-69, reclassified 1Y-emergency call up only, then 4F in 1972.

I would rather be starry eyed than blind!

  12. shroomingnewman says:

for all you starryed eyed liberals. if you think obama is going to pull troops from iraq within 16 months, keep dreaming. he’s simply going to move them to afghanistan…thats the just war!

  13. sweetalysum says:

I’m so glad to see vets taking on this fight. They shouldn’t have to, but I’m so proud of them for not staying quiet. It breaks my heart knowing that these guys come back to a lack of concern by the government responsible for their conditions, visible or not. These are a special generation of soldiers who won’t sit quietly while they are abused. For or against the war, I think we can all agree the troops shouldn’t be mistreated…and yet they still are. It is criminal.

  14. twsmpjlz says:

    thanks for coming to madison

    very moving

    how can we help

  15. highvibration says:

Any word on how Tomas is doing? So many lives have been destroyed by this senseless war.

  16. NOVFP says:

NOTE: Tomas Young’s struggle continues day by day. In late May 2008, he fell into a coma brought on by a clot in his lung. His mother, Cathy, tells us they are working to keep him awake and talking a few hours every day.
    - Bill Moyers

Well wishing can be sent to:
    Tomas Young – patient
    Saint Luke’s Hospital

I hope you’ll send good wishes to Tomas.

  17. TERRAN1212 says:

I saw this today. Great film.

  18. bapyou says:

Saw this film tonight in L.A. See it if you can. It is powerful. Tomas Young – the veteran at the center of the film – has sustained horrible injuries for the lies told by a few men who never had the nerve to serve their country (Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, et al.) and a congress who spat on the constitution the day they passed the Iraq War Resolution effectively abdicating their constitutional DUTY to place the executive branch in check. These are dark times, my friends. Dark times.

  19. cw505 says:

i joined the coast guard because i knew i wouldn’t have to go do some bullshit for our corporations.
and this was pre-911. i don’t know why anyone would joint those other services at this time in history.

  20. vaveon says:

Be all that you can be.
I myself went in the Coast Guard.

  21. banemaler says:

There are so many ignorant Americans out there. They can’t admit that there is something wrong when staring the truth in the face. The time has come for us to realize that our troops DIDN’T sign up for this. We were not attacked but the Iraqi’s, they didn’t have WMD’s, this war was never declared as per the Constitution our troops swore to uphold. On top of it all they are coming back and getting some sorry ass benefits instead of the red carpet. If you’re as angry as I, check out IVAW.

  22. NOVFP says:

Get a Clue? Read the constitution? You’ve got to be kidding. He, as I signed up to support and defend the constitution. Not go to war for a bunch of lies. Are you ignorant or do you choose to believe everything you are told to? He knew as I did that we could die. You just don’t want to be for a lie. And you certainly have a responsibility to those that would follow you to know the truth!

  23. Pelter1 says:

“He signed up to defend the constitution”

Better read and comprehend the Constitution asshole. He signed up and knew exactly what he was getting in to. Some men die in wars, some come home wounded and some come back and don’t look back. Get a clue.

  24. Pelter1 says:

You still driving in your luxury car asshole?

  25. spilwacky says:

I dont support the war, and I dont care much for our commander-in-chief.
But THANK YOU TO ALL THE TROOPS who are and have been to Iraq. While the rest of us had the luxury of free speech to debate the war, many of you gave up that right and went as soon as you were called.
