stephen colbert showed bush the disdain that the world, at the very least liberals, had for him when he roasted his ass. i think that is going to be the high point of colberts career; telling “the man” what an ass he is.

  4. Mplay1983 says:

no. its the principle. you protect the President of the USA from everything. They don’t just take bullets. What? So, a chair thrown at him would have been alright. Its your job to prevent ANY harm to be done.

  7. SuperSonicDeluxe says:

@Mplay1983 they are payed to take a bullet, i’m sure you can’t get killed by a shoe, unless he put a explosive in it

  8. Mplay1983 says:

man… secret service wasn’t even willing to take a show for Bush. Shit. that’s hate.

  9. ExaltedLeader says:

…It would be a fair point – except that, clearly, the fellow wasn’t much better off tossing a shoe at Bush. They beat him until his bones broke and locked him away as a political prisoner.

Oppression is oppression, whether it’s a democratically elected western president / vice president or a middle eastern dictator. There’s no question that Saddam himself was a terror; that is not somehow an excuse for Bush to deal out his own brand of monstrosity in the region.

Hahhaha, that’s exactly right. That statement that the journalist made is disgraceful to dogs everywhere.

  13. 13lackLight says:

One thing that Michelle Malkin said (I know, I know…), but seriously, she pointed out that the Iraqi people would never be able to be in a position to throw shoes at politicians, and live to tell about it, if Bush hadn’t come in and kicked Saddam’s ass.

I thought it was an interesting point.
