Years of war have left more than five million Iraqi children orphans, with nearly half a million living on the streets. For some, Iraq’s orphanages represent a safe haven for children who have nowhere else to go. But as Al Jazeera’s Hoda Abdel-Hamid reports, the traumatic experiences that many of these children have faced could have far-reaching consequences.
