The Middle East Institute is proud to host Thomas W. Donovan, an expert in Iraqi business law, specializing in international investment. Drawing upon his background as a corporate attorney and managing partner of the Iraq Law Alliance, PLLC, Mr. Donovan will discuss the particular nuances of doing business in post war Iraq and how the 2009 Status of Forces Agreement may change the way in which international investors interact with their Iraqi partners. Mr. Donovan will also provide important insight into some of the problematic legal aspects of the 2009 and 2010 Iraqi Petroleum Bid Rounds. I am currently overseas in Iraq. I am unable to come home anytime soon. My Godfather and i are trying to get a small business loan. He has a Power of Attorney and he went down to the bank and basically the told him they cant do it cause I’m not there. Please if there is anything anyone knows please let me know. Thanks

Should every department in a business be equally important?

I work in a casino and the owner / general manager told my bosses that the department I work in is not as important as the other departments here. To prove his point he gave every department except the one I work in 50 cent raises. My department I work in is all war veterans from Vietnam, Korea and Iraq / Afghanistan. Is there anything I can do about this? Please help I definitely need help on this situation.
The department all of my fellow war veterans work in is surveillance.

Looking for a business grant for a friend?

I have a freind that was in the Iraq war who became disabled. the gov is not trying to help and he can’t work, has anyone heard of a viable grant for a small biz that he’d be able to obtain. The SBA SUCKS, they always focus on businesses failing and those idiots at SCORE are so darned old.

Does Bush really have anything to do with the war in Iraq.Apparently he is just a poor puppet of Big Business.

By “We” I mean you and I. When are we going to bring our men and women home from Bush’s war, which is based on falsified intelligence and hatred stemming from an attack that neither the Iraq government, or any Iraqi took part in.
Now that Halliburton, weapons manufacturers, oil companies, security firms and insurance companies have all made billions off of the US taxpayer and have bled Iraq dry, they are looking for a new target for their next business venture, I.E. War.
When will we stand up to Bush, he is wrong on Iraq. Wrong on Immigration. Wrong on stem cell research. WRONG FOR AMERICA.
How, after nearly 7 years of an illegal occupancy in the white house, an illegal occupancy in Iraq, and nearly every appointee being fired, forced from office, or brought under invtestigation can we still allow this man to run amok in America and the world?

When I got my orders to come home I neglected to tell my wife as I wanted to suprise her on Valentines Day, however she is away on a business function and won’t be home till Feb 17th. I have not had a caucasian women since I had a fling in Germany a week ago while waiting for my orders. I’m getting tired of Taliban Tail and was hoping to bang my wife like an old screen door..However her sister insits she will do my wifes duties for a couple days and teach me some new positions ( eg. “Crouching Soldier” , ” Agent Orange Oral ” and a few other tasty positions I’ve never experienced. Here is my problem,it’s not the cheating as I’m very good at it and she would never know, I”ve cheated over 22 times in the last 16 months and never got caught, the problem is this, her sister has a limp to her walk and isn’t all that bright, a 67 IQ, do you think my cheating prowness would be jeapordized by this kinda retarded girl ?
