This is the smoking gun story that you weren’t allowed to hear. Total media blackout in the United States about the 1 WMD that Saddam Hussein used in November of 2000 that sealed the fate of the future, not just of America & the Middle East, but the fate of the entire global community. I believe this report was from 2006. It isn’t “news” (except for here in the US where there has been a media blackout about it) but the information is important.

So far it seems like all the weasels who COULD tell the truth so options to minimize the damage as much as possible could be presented but like rats, they all seem to be piling into the “lifeboats” leaving everyone else who doesn’t know better to go down with the ship. It also would have triggered a rush by countries (like the Asias) who hold a HUGE amount of Reserve T-Bills, to rush to sell off their holdings. (cont’d 2) In that one year time span alone, the US bought 2 1/2 of the 3.3 billion barrels of Iraq’s oil which was a HUGE hardship for the Bush admin since we had to trade goods & svcs to europe to attain the euro’s to buy that oil. Not to mention that if “word” of this became widespread, not only would it have instantly triggeed a market crash for fear of USD petro-dollar stability, but it would have likely caused other oil dominant countries w/shaky US relations (cont’d)
To be clear, you’re correct in that the problem on a “whole” goes much deeper & back further than the issue this clip discusses. This is only a breakdown of the “petro-dollar” supremacy which was the only thing that was giving US currency it’s “value” since there’s no other backing. Today, October 18, 2009, the AP posted an article, “Iraq approves oil deal with BP-lead consortium,” which states that 75 percent of Iraq’s oil will be controlled by BP (38%) and China’s CNPC (37%) while Iraq’s state oil marketing organization will control the remaining 25 percent or 1/4. This seems a tad bit unfair and I would think it should raise some eyebrows! China and Britain’s oil companies controlling 75% of Iraq’s oil? Who’s Oil? Come on now people, think!

Yes, this is “old news” (as I stated in the info section) but it needs renewed attention because we are getting ready to see it all over again with Iran, and the other oil dominant contries that are going to follow suit in dumping the petro dollar in favor of another currency.
