What good did the Iraq war do for America and Iraq and the rest of the world?

Economically, Politically and world peace. Are we all better of after 5 years of endless war.
Politically, Iran has more influence in Iraq than the USA. We got red of Sadam and handed Iraq to Iran.
Economically, look at the USA economy alone and the Dollar value and war cost for the tax payers.
world peace: look how many people get killed every day in Iraq and around the world.
Thank you. This is why I will never vote for a republican. They have tanked our dollar, destabilized our foreign image, and continue to warmonger.

It was never meant to do anything for World Peace, which is in itself is a nonsencial concept.
The only way Iran will get Iraq is if the US now prematuraly abandons it.

Another tool that thinks the US recession was caused by the Iraq war. Jeez do you really think we are that dirt poor that one tiny war is gonna mess up our whole economy?
Seriously we could buy Iraq and still have enough change to buy Afganistan too. We make $13.5 trillion a year. The whole Iraq war cost us $3 trillion do the math.
Neither you nor I are in a position to accurately judge the total good or harm of the Iraq war.
You’ll be better educated to answer that for yourself soon. Just give it a few more years and you’ll realize that declaring a war against terrorism was imminent. Better now than when they actually have nuclear bombs to fight back with….Right??
We are so much better off. Gas prices are at 3.50 and above, 63 million to be cut on medicate, all our tax’s are going to Iraq–therefore cutting jobs here in the USA and helping to those that are out of work and suffering. More soldiers dying everyday. Hey Bush says were doing great. Remember the Republicans said he is God in the white house and he was told by God to attack Iraq. Those wonderful Republicans, always looking out for the middle man.
Hitler Bush caused a big mess and genocide in Iraq, 1,000,000 lives ( he gave them fredoom from mortal worries), expent one trillion dollar from the taxpayers and make rich the oil companies and military industry. Guess? Who is gonna be profited with this? Not the common citizen are gonna paid 5 dollar per gas gallon and the taxpayers is gonna paid the debt to China for the war expenses plus taxes?… We have a big mess and the dollar is sinking with our economy day by day.

You must be a member of the ‘Blame America First’ coalition. Going into Iraq was for no other reason than the long term fight against terrorism because Bush knew, as did his advisers, that unless and until a stable democratic government can be established and then spread in the middle east there will always be terrorist.
I could still work, as long as politicians who see short-term political gain in opposing it don’t screw it up.
I don’t see many GOOD results…but the opposite, WAR has divided America…it didn’t used to be like that…making us more vulnerable and hated not only among us but from other countries
Iraq still has no utilities and a lot of their people have died. Their politicians are siphoning as much of the money-gusher from the U.S. as they can, and converting it to precious metals.
The U.S. has deficit spent itself into a recession, and the idiots at the Fed have collapsed the housing market intending to pick up property at rock bottom prices. It looks like the combined effort will land us in another depression which the Republicans will blame on the “Liberals”.
I wish I could find gas for only $3.50/ gallon. Try comparing the yield in refined fuels of heavy crude (light gives even more) and the value of the other products (such as plastics) and then compare how prices rise as compared to what they should when crude goes up a dollar. A barrel of oil is 42 gallons by the way.
Bush’s war for Daddy has destabilized world peace, global economy and lead to enough hatred in the U.S. to set our social development back more than a century.

There is a possibility that Sadam was planning to manufacture some WMD and the war frustrated those plans.
That’s all the good that comes to mind.
As oppose to the endless war we were in during the 90’s under Clinton.
1) It kept Saddam from killing millions more
2) It kept his brothers from raping and kill thousands in teir rape dens.
3) It freed the Kurds who now have a vibrate econmy.
4) It kept Al Q at home trying to kill other muslims and our soldiers instead of your Mother and Sister 3000 at a time.
100 times more people are killed i auto accidents each day than Iraq
In Africa more people are killed daily in places like Durfur than in total inIran.
There are lots of bad people out there. Thank God for the USA and other that at least try and stop it.

Energy companies and military/mercenary corporations seem to be quite happy. Their stock prices and profits are record.
Plus every no-bid building contractor…
And anyone profiting from the CPA’s unaccounted handing out of Iraqui money…
well, i think anytime we have to engage in war , that it has to come to that , it is very sad. I am not sure if it has done anything for America , except caused alot of hurt feelings , and alot of families have lost loved ones, which is ultimately the worst price we pay for going to war. The cost , being the next.
Now , in the sense that , sometimes, as horrible as it is, sometimes war is a necessary evil. Sassam Hussein, was an absolutely horrible, evil, sick twisted man, who was killing, and torturing, innocent people. He was a man who NEEDED to be taken out of power, and the Iraqi people had no means to do it on their own. We have helped them, and have helped them better establish their government, instead of a dictatorship, under an sadistic fist.
Now , the issue remains if we stay there, and track Bin Laden, who I am sure when I say here is another man, every American woud like to see put to death, I am right on track, or do we pull out….We have killed several of his top aides / insurgents, we have stopped many plots, and frozen assets. Do we keep going till we find him ? or come home ?
getting rid of Sadam was a good thing staying in Iraq was not We went there to find WMD which I think they had and got rid of ,, Once he was out of power and no WMD found right away we should have got out It was about protecting us from WMD not saving Iraq
I think someday we are going to learn that the Iraqi war was way deeper than just WMD and Al Quaida. I think we are talking Economic Terrorism on an order that would have sent the US into another Great Depression! Saddam Hussein was a savory charachter that may have been getting ready to conterfeit our entire credit market! This would be Top Secret at this moment. So there is no way I can prove this to you. But it will come out in the future as the information is declassified. That is my opinion! Our National Security, the Security of the Free World, was at stake, big time!
